Fleece — Brown Romney Locks
As I worked with this fleece, her untamed nature revealed itself from the start.
The short brown Romney locks kept their curl and movement through the felting process—sun-lightened tips and subtle gray shifts that give the surface its living depth.
As the form came together, that energy held.
In the finished piece, her body feels tactile, expressive, and full of presence—entirely her own.
Lining
I hand-dyed the cotton lining to carry the warmth of the fleece inward. In clay and copper tones, the interior extends the palette of the wool, allowing what is revealed inside to feel fully connected to the piece as a whole.
Together, the fleece and lining create a sense of warmth, earthiness, and cohesion that feels integral to the character of the bag.
Strap — Cork
The strap is made from cork, harvested from the bark of a tree. I love how this natural material — once protective outer layer — is transformed into something supple and lightweight that carries beautifully.
It grounds her—steady enough to carry that untamed energy without trying to contain it.
Hardware — Brass
The brass hardware brings weight and presence to the piece—something you feel the moment you pick her up.
It holds everything together with a quiet strength, adding structure without taking away from her untamed character.

CLEANING
Clean gently with water. Allow to air dry fully. Reshape by hand as needed.
As the wool settles, lift and separate the fibers to restore their natural form.
STORAGE
Store your piece upright in its dust bag, with the bolster inside to help maintain its shape.

It arrives wrapped in soft tissue, accompanied by a numbered and artist-signed bolster, a certificate of authenticity, and a personal artist note reflecting the character of the piece.
