The artist's palette
The palette begins with fleece.
Wool brings its own character to the work. Color, curl, crimp, length, luster and movement vary from one fleece to the next. Each is sourced from a small farm or independent shepherd and chosen for what makes it distinctive. The artist studies the fleece and lets it guide the work. The result is part intention, part discovery.
